Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

Your GP may decide you can have your long-term medication on a repeat prescription.   You can request your repeat prescription either in writing, by fax, via the internet (ask at reception to register for this service) or at your pharmacy. To avoid errors and misunderstandings, requests cannot be accepted over the telephone.  Prescriptions will normally be ready for collection within 3 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).  If providing a stamped addressed envelope, it will be posted back to you, but in this case please allow at least one week.  For bank holidays, please remember to plan ahead and order your prescriptions early before holiday closures

Review of your medication with your doctor will be necessary at appropriate intervals.
